At the February meeting we decided to move to the third Friday of the month from January 2027. We have now heard back from the library so we can confirm this is going to happen.
The original plan was to have a meeting utilising the skills and knowledge of members of the group. This is in keeping with the aims and objectives of the U3A generally. It is also timed to save money on speakers when lower attendances are expected because of the holiday period.However, there have been no volunteers to contribute to the meeting. This just shows how important a discussion on how best to secure the future of the group is. So what so Des will lead the initial discussion. Please if you have any ideas for the latter part please let him know.
As you'll know from newsletters past a curator from the Museum of Liverpool has promised to give us a talk when she returns from maternity leave.
Dave McCall had also promised to come back. So that is 2 people I want to hear sorted.
I am not going to allow myself to be dragged into doing for the whole year! 3 or 4 volunteers each doing 2 or 3 meetings and its boxed off. Doing it this way should provide a more varied programme and one we can publish earlier.
