It will be Louise's turn to lead again. Following what has developed into a theme of exploring the lost villages of Liverpool it's the turn of West Derby. The village that gives its name to the Earls of Derby and all their history including the race! PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF DATE

As we did last time a list of his many talks was circulated recently. People will then had the opportunity of joining in on deciding the subject of his talk. As a result it will be Liverpool Lives. Some people from Liverpool who deserve much more recognition than they get.

Please note the change of date. The first Friday is Good Friday hence the change. Margie is down to lead this one.

Steven Horton, who several members have heard speak, will be speaking about the memorials and monuments surrounding Saint George's Hall and Saint John's Gardens. You can't get much more historic or local to the Central Library Please play on the door.

We have quite a distinguished speaker lined up. He is travelling up from Hertfordshire so please pass the word to make it worth his while with big audience. Tickets £4, please at the door.

A talk by Sue Latimer the former Heritage Interpreter and Researcher for the Southport Heritage Project. You may have seen the signs, particularly on hoardings, around Southport the lost couple years. She's now working as a freelancer. They should be an interesting one it sounds as it she's putting a lot of work into it. If you know people from the Southport area, who might be interested please invite them. Margie is scheduled to be the walk leader.

Tickets £4, please at the door. The current plan is to have a meeting utilising the skills and knowledge of members of the group. This is in keeping with the aims and objectives of the U3A generally. It is also timed to save money on speakers when lower attendances are expected because of the holiday period.

Tickets £4, please at the door. John Maguire is currently writing a book on the subject. Which I didn't know when I asked him, after the meeting in January, if he knew of of anyone who could do a talk on Samhain. No prizes for guessing who l asked to do the talk.
